Open Thread: Griefing Policy
By Bricu | May 27, 2009
According to Blizz’s Terms of Service (ToS), before one can open a ticket for griefing, one has to politely ask the person to stop. On one hand, this makes sense. People should make attempts to solve their own problems and concerns. One person’s RP may be another persons griefing behavior.
But what does one do when four or five level one alts show up, dressed in their skivvies, with names like: Lickmyanus, Palywoman, tabasco and Infertile show up and emote behaviors that are best reserved for a bathroom or a bedroom?
By sticking with the policy, the griefing increased. I expanded my ignore list, but /ignore does not prevent dancing on the table, teabagging or the blocking other players views.
The griefers left after a few minutes, but following the policy sure as hell did not help the situation. Ignoring them didn’t make them go away, nor did following policy. So what is the best way to deal with this particular brand of griefer?
