Corise has been up and down the Sliding Scale of Anti-Heroes (thank you, TV Tropes) many, many times, ranging anywhere from a Type II at her best (snarky and cynical but generally trying to do good in the world) to a Type IV at her worst (doing very bad things to very bad people and not always for "good" reasons).

Some of my other characters fit a more traditionally heroic role, and I've experimented with villains, but I find Corise's schtick to be the most versatile - she is an effective foil to heroes and villain protagonists alike, which allows her to play supporting parts in a wide variety of storylines (my preferred role in RP). For the more heroic types, she can be the one who can "do what needs to be done" when the good guy can't, and offers a practical outlook to burst the "honor before reason" bubble that some heroes live in. For villain protagonists, she acts as an occasional voice of conscience or restraint, and I'm pretty sure she's basically become the Morality Pet of a particular Boomstick whose motives and ethics are rather... questionable.

Oh, and whatever else she may be, Corise is a bad-ass, made all the more entertaining to play considering she's about three feet tall and likes to run her mouth off about how awesome and tough she is. Seriously, though, don't mess with her, and especially don't mess with her kids or anyone else she considers "hers."
